Our Staff: Pastors & Elders

Chris Roussin

Lead Pastor | EMAIL

Chris and his wife Hannah moved out from Southern California to Phoenix back in September of 2010. They have 4 children; all girls! After Jesus, family, and friends…Chris loves Star Wars, Disneyland, and sports…in that order. He’s been serving as Lead Pastor at Lincoln Heights since he came to Phoenix, and if you were to ask him what he’s all about, he’d say “loving people into a life-changing relationship with God”, and then he’d probably drop a Star Wars quote on you.

In his spare time, Chris loves to hang with his wife and kids, and catch a movie with some friends. His favorite coffee drink is a large-coffee with 1 pump toffee-nut & some half & half, and his dream vacation would be to take his wife and kids to Disneyworld someday.

Bodie Wade

Weekend Experience Pastor | EMAIL

Born and raised in California, Bodie never thought a surfer kid like him would end up in the heat of Phoenix! Bodie completed his undergrad career at Vanguard University with a degree in Music and Worship Arts. At Vanguard, he met his wonderful wife Royale. Bodie and Royale were married just two months before making the trek out to Arizona at the beginning of August, 2015. Bodie has two dogs Olive and Atlas that he treats like his children. Bodie and Royale are expecting their first baby in June and cannot wait to replace their dog obsession with a more normal and healthy one.

Bodie has a passion for ministering to others through music and quality time. His favorite thing about Jesus is that He is a chain breaker and a liberator! In his spare time, Bodie enjoys writing music, cooking (mostly eating), and board sports. His dream vacation would be to tour Europe with his wife.

John Williamson

Next-Gen Director | EMAIL

John graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2014 and has called Phoenix his home ever since. While attending GCU in 2012, John met his beautiful, amazing wife Lyndsey. Ever since then, she has not been able to keep her eyes off of him. John has an extreme passion for kids & students. His primary goal is to reveal the love God has for the kids and students in his ministries through teaching the Bible and building strong, real relationships with them. He loves everything that has to do with sports and enjoys coaching youth basketball.

In his spare time, John loves to catch a movie with his wife, go to the dog park with their two dogs, and hang out with friends. His dream vacation would be to go to Hawaii, randomly meet Shaquille O’Neal, become his best friend, and spend every day on the beach with him and Lyndsey.

John Perry

Finance Director | EMAIL

John grew up in the state of Maryland between Annapolis and Baltimore. He attended Valparaiso University where he earned a degree in electrical engineering and more importantly he met his future wife Joanna. John and Joanna married and have 3 crazy boys. John has been attending Lincoln Heights since 2000 when he moved to Arizona. His wife Joanna has been coming to Lincoln Heights since she was a child.

John joined the staff of Lincoln Heights in 2015 after several months of volunteering and proving his worth! He surrendered his role as an elder to fill the void in the accounting area. In his free time John likes to play sand volleyball and basketball. However the thing he loves best in this world is spending time with his 3 boys. His dream retirement would be to own a large R.V. and follow his boys around the country as they play on the pro volleyball circuit.

Shannon Higgins

Office Manager/Executive Admin | EMAIL

Shannon grew up in Flagstaff, AZ where she met and married her husband, Gabe. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a bachelors in Public Relations. They moved to Phoenix so Gabe could obtain a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and stayed in the Valley for many reasons. One of those reasons is Lincoln Heights! The Lord led them to LHCC through Shannon's parents and has blessed them with life-long friendships and an amazing church family. Shannon and Gabe have an adorable little girl, Celia, who will light up any room with a personality that exudes joy and happiness.

Shannon enjoys curling up with a good book and a bowl of chocolate covered raisins, spending time with her family and picnics in a grassy meadow.

Angelica Garcia

Pre-K and Kids Ministries Coordinator | EMAIL

BAngelica was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona and made the 3 hour drive to come to good ol' Phoenix to attend Grand Canyon University. She is currently pursuing her undergrad in Elementary Education. She loves working with kids and showing them how awesome God is and what he can do in their lives! She believes that teaching kids about God at a young age is important because as they grow up, they will be living their life with a greater purpose.

In her free time, Angelica likes to drink coffee, take long walks on the beach, and make arts and crafts! Her dream vacation would be to go on a Disney cruise with her family!

Annie Trail

Pre-K Coordinator | EMAIL

Annie is a senior at Grand Canyon University where she transferred after completing two years of schooling at Orange Coast College in California. Although she was born and raised in southern California, she feels she has found a second home here in Phoenix and credits Lincoln Heights as a big part of making her feel that way. Annie’s passion is children, and she is so happy that she has been able to transfer that passion into a ministry with the preschoolers here at Lincoln Heights.

In addition to interning at the church, Annie is an assistant on The GCU dance team where she was a member last year. In her spare time (what spare time?), Annie enjoys listening to country music, going to country concerts, working out, and hanging out with friends. The hardest part about being away from home is missing her two dogs, who she loves like children.

Kristy Clay

Compassion Director | EMAIL

Kristy Clay was raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and moved to Phoenix for college. She was married in 2000 to her high school sweetheart, Alex. They have two daughters and are in the process of adopting two sons from Haiti. In her spare time, Kristy loves to run, swim, bike, and spend time with her family. Her favorite is coffee is strong with nothing in it. She can’t narrow down one dream vacation. She hopes to see as much of the world as possible.

Kristy’s passion for compassion ministries comes from God truly breaking her heart for those around our community and the globe that are hurting and need Him. Once you get a glimpse of the need God wants you to see, there is no forgetting it. Kristy hopes that God will use her life to draw other people into the service of others. She is excited to see what God does through this church to love people near and far and lead them to Him.
